We removed the existing patio and widened the layout. Then we took down the retaining wall and installed a new hardcore base. We erected a new retaining wall, using pressure-treated sleepers and built new steps into the garden area. Finally, we laid the patio and the smaller raised area with Indian sandstone slabs in a shade of 'fossil mint'.
