Here are some before and after pictures of this patio transformation, supplied and carried out by Vantage Drives and Patios in Springfield, Chelmsford.
First, we removed the old patio, lawn and retaining wall. We installed a new hardcore type 1 MOT base with membrane sheeting underneath. We split the patio into two parts. One is made of Indian sandstone slabs in 'mint', and the other is made of 3-size Tegula paving blocks. A matching footpath connects these two areas. We also installed a double row of pressure-treated sleepers to replace the old retaining wall. Finally, we laid down a new turf lawn in the remaining areas.
