Here are some before and after pictures of a patio and driveway project in Maldon, supplied and carried out by Vantage Drives and Patios.
First, we removed the original concrete and gravel driveway, patio and part of the old lawn. Then we laid a new foundation on a full mortar bed for extra durability. We also put down heavy-duty membrane sheeting to prevent unwanted weed growth. Our team installed new flat-top kerbing at the front of the driveway and set it in concrete. Then we laid the driveway using Marshalls Grey paving blocks in a 90° pattern with a double border of the same colour. The patio was laid with 'kandla grey' Indian sandstone blocks in various sizes for an exciting look. We also fashioned two manhole covers to blend smoothly into the surface.
