These photos showcase a driveway and patio project completed by Vantage Drives and Patios in Chelmsford, Essex.
At the front, we removed the original driveway, extended it and laid a hardcore type 1 base with an ACO drainage system to prevent water pooling. We laid the driveway with a three-size Tegula paving mix, installed new 4-foot fencing with gravel boards and laid bull-nose key kerbs for flower beds with freshly applied topsoil.
At the back, we again removed the original patio and retaining wall and laid the raised patio with 900 by 600 mm grey porcelain slabs in a staggered pattern with treated railway sleepers as retainers. We also built new steps at both the front and the back and connected the two areas with a new pathway.
